Due to the current weather conditions in the Vidin area and the Danube Bridge Vidin–Calafat and temperatures around or below 0 °C, there is an increased risk of ice and slippery surfaces, especially on the bridge structures and their approaches.
The roadway and facilities have been cleared and treated, but due to the bridge’s characteristics – moisture and air currents over the Danube – ice may form suddenly.
We urge all drivers to:
Reduce speed before entering the bridge area
Avoid sudden maneuvers and abrupt braking
Maintain a greater distance between vehicles
Be prepared for gusts of wind on the bridge
We ask all road users to drive responsibly and with heightened caution to ensure the safety of everyone on the road.
